Skopje, 23 November 2021 (MIA) – Prime Minister Zoran Zaev told MIA that he is heading for Bulgaria to visit the survivors of the bus accident which happened overnight on Struma highway in Bulgaria and killed 45 people.
PM Zaev is accompanied by Health Minister Venko Filipche and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani.
Zaev informs that expert teams from North Macedonia have been sent to Bulgaria. He expressed condolences to those killed in the crash, which he was personally briefed on by Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and Prime Minister Stefan Yanev.
Bulgarian PM Stefan Yanev was traveling to the scene of the bus accident.
At least 45 people were killed in an overnight an accident on Struma highway in Bulgaria after a bus caught fire, which was travelling from Turkey’s main city of Istanbul to Skopje in North Macedonia. There had been 53 people on board.
According to initial information, there are survivors in the accident.
