Berlin, 22 June 2022 (dpa/MIA) — German World Cup winning full back Erik Durm has left Eintracht Frankfurt to join second division Kaiserslautern, the Europa League winners said Wednesday.
Durm, 30, spent three years at Frankfurt but played only a limited role last season and was not in the matchday squad when they defeated Rangers in Sevilla in the Europa League final.
He also collected a World Cup winners’ medal in 2014 despite being an unused substitute for all of Germany’s games in Brazil.
Durm made his name with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga and joined Frankfurt after a year in England with Huddersfield Town.
