Vehicle usage and average vehicle age in North Macedonia rising
One third of the country’s population sees cars as their favorite means of transportation. There are over 477,000 cars in the country, and on average they are 19.3 years old. Around 57 percent of them use diesel fuel, and only 0.03 percent are electric. Although it seems like the roads and pavements are full of vehicles, with a vehicle-to-person ratio of one to four, the country finds itself below the European average, where the ratio is one to two.
