Estonian society saves a bit over 2% of its GDP solely by using digital signatures instead of circulating papers between people, businesses and government. As 2% is also the share we spend on our defense, one might even say that digital signature pays for our defense in Estonia, says Lauri Tabur, leading expert of the Estonian Centre for International Development and former rector of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, in an interview with MIA.
