Lwiw, 18 April 2022 (dpa/MIA) – At least six people have been killed and 11 others wounded in a rocket attack on the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, according to initial reports.
The mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, wrote on his Facebook page on Monday that one child was among the wounded. Sadovy did not specify where the missiles hit, but he said at least one civilian object was hit. He said it was a tyre service.
In addition, the windows of a nearby hotel were reportedly shattered by the blast wave. People who had fled the war from other regions of Ukraine were living in the hotel.
Sadovy said that 40 cars had also been damaged.
The attack took place on Monday morning. Sadovy had reported a total of five missile strikes.
