Recession prospects for major economies expected to affect Macedonian economy, World Bank’s Xiaoqing Yu tells MIA
Although North Macedonia is less exposed to direct economic risks from the war in Ukraine, indirect linkages through lower demand from the main trading partners will impact the economy strongly, and we do expect some quarters of technical recession to take hold. However, overall, we still forecast positive growth for the 2023 year as a whole, Xiaoqing Yu, the World Bank Regional Director for the Western Balkans, tells MIA.
