Skopje – President Stevo Pendarovski had a phone conversation with the Bulgarian President Rumen Radev on Friday. During the call, President Pendarovski congratulated Radev on assuming the post and wished success during his mandate as President.

Skopje – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski held Friday a phone conversation with European Commission (EC) President Ursula von der Leyen, who congratulated him on being elected to helm the government wishing him success, the government said. PM Kovachevski thanked von der Leyen for her support to North Macedonia as President of the European Commission.

Skopje – North Macedonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted on Friday a debate as part of the Reflection 2030 project, aimed at developing a Foreign Policy Strategy for the next 10 years. Friday’s debate focused on North Macedonia’s OSCE Chairpersonship in 2023, the Ministry said in a press release.

Brussels – A top EU diplomat has said that the new momentum in the relations between Bulgaria and North Macedonia after the Bulgarian Prime Minister’s visit to Skopje is a good sign regarding the opening of EU negotiations, MIA’s Brussels correspondent reports.

Skopje – Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj met Friday with U.S. Ambassador to North Macedonia, Kate Marie Byrnes. Talks focused on U.S. support in the process of North Macedonia’s European integration, the importance and necessity of the progress of the Western Balkans in the process of European integration, etc.

Geneva – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has called on the West to end the “anti-Russia hysteria” in the Ukraine conflict after his meeting with his US counterpart Antony Blinken.
