Skopje – Justice Minister Bojan Marichikj says the objective of his Facebook call for judges to elaborate their decision to release former secret police chief Sasho Mijalkov from detention was to urge for accountability of judges and prosecutors before the public, because “the public always accuses the executive for the good but more often for the poor and unsubstantiated court decisions.”
Skopje – The Guarantee Fund, the Green Investment Fund, support for export-oriented companies and others should provide about EUR 150 million for crediting of businesses. Support for businesses in 2022 will increase by 30 percent compared to this year, said Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi on Wednesday.

Washington – Former US Senate majority leader Harry Reid has died, his family announced Tuesday. He was 82. “He died peacefully this afternoon, surrounded by our family, following a courageous, four-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Harry was 82 years old. We were married for 62 years,” his wife, Landra Reid, said in a statement.
