Skopje – North Macedonia celebrates on Wednesday the St. Clement of Ohrid Day – December 8 as a national holiday.
Skopje – The St. Clement of Ohrid 2021 Award was presented Wednesday at a ceremony in Parliament. This year’s recipient of St. Clement of Ohrid state award, the highest recognition for lifetime achievements, in the field of education is university professor Gjulumser Kasapi. The recipients of this year’s arts and culture prizes are Jovan Pavlovski, writer, Snezana Anastasova-Chadikovska, music artist and Elena Doncheva painter-costume designer.
Skopje – President Stevo Pendarovski on Wednesday sent a greeting to Archbishop Stefan, Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, on St. Clement of Ohrid Day.
Skopje – “Saint Clement, as a great man and a strong person, is a memorial of our history and the founder of the Ohrid Literary School, also known as the first Balkan and European university where he had about 3,500 students. It testifies to the exceptional organizational and unifying abilities of the teacher from Ohrid in the spirit of the Christian unity,” PM Zaev posted on Facebook.
Skopje – The offer that state-owned electricity producer ESM should give to the universal supplier will be at a level that will not cause any significant rise in the energy price, Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi told reporters on Wednesday. Besimi did not want to predict how much the energy price would rise, pointing out that the Energy Regulatory Commission will announce that.
