Skopje – President Stevo Pendarovski met with Swedish Parliament Speaker Andreas Norlen and MPs in Stockholm on Friday, discussing the EU enlargement process and cooperation between the countries’ parliaments.
Skopje – North Macedonia’s EU integration progress should primarily depend on domestic reforms related to the achievement of Union standards, not bilateral issues. The country has made enormous progress in the alignment of national legislation with EU law as a result of the intensive reform process and Europeanization in all walks of life, said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev during a meeting with Greece’s Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, who is paying a visit to Skopje.
Skopje – Our goal is to provide a clean environment for our children and future generations. Where once there were polluters, today we’re building clean and green energy production facilities. The former coal deposits at the REK Oslomej coal mine are to be covered with 10 megawatt photovoltaic power plant in a few months. This new photovoltaic power plant is set to generate 15-17 GW hours per annum, enough to respond to the needs of about 2,800 households, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said.
Skopje – Many analyses have confirmed the efficacy of vaccines against Covid-19. Vaccines prevent severe forms of the illness, hospitalization and death. The Ministry of Health has conducted analyses which determine that 79-81% of hospitalized Covid-19 cases are unvaccinated, according to Venko Filipche’s Facebook post.
Skopje – Women from rural areas need an increased availability to educational, public and social services, as well as to create and promote measures to increase their employability, measures to acknowledge their unpaid labor related to caring for the family, and finding solutions for the women from rural areas that don’t have the right to retirement, urge the National Farmer Federation (NFF) and the Rural Development Network (RDN) on International Day of Rural Women.
Skopje – “Тhe Hip – Brainstorm”, a music documentary feature about the Kumanovo-based alternative band The Hip that was active in the early 1990s, will be screened Friday at the Trajko Prokopiev cultural center in Kumanovo.
