Zagreb, 7 October 2021(Hina/MIA) – An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale hit Dalmatia at 2157 hours Wednesday, Croatia’s Seismological Survey reported on Wednesday, explaining that the epicentre was at Croatia’s border with Bosnia and Herzegovina near Buško Jezero Lake.
The magnitude of the tremor was 4.6 on the Richter scale and the intensity in the epicentre was VI on the European macroseismic scale (EMS), the Seismological Survey said.
No reports on material damage have been received.
The tremor was felt in wider areas of Sinj, Split and Makarska.
Earlier in the evening, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that a quake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit Dalmatia and southwestern parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the EMSC, the depth of the epicentre was 5 kilometre, and it happened 40 kilometres northeast of Split and 20 kilometres southwest of Livno.
