Skopje, 9 October 2021 (MIA) — Several landslides have blocked parts of the Delchevo – Makedonska Kamenica – Kochani A3 highway. According to drivers, the biggest landslide is just before the turn to the village of Bigla, MIA’s Delchevo correspondent reports.
“Landslides have happened here before, on the road from the village of Bigla to the village of Lukovica,” according to Aleksandar Arsovski, a driver traveling on the highway.
The Makedonijapat Public Enterprise for the Maintenance and Protection of National and Regional Roads confirmed the landslides and urged drivers to drive more carefully.
“The rain that has been falling for over 12 hours in Pijanec has again caused landslides on the A3 highway,” Makedonijapat said.
“It is our duty to react wherever this happens, which is what our teams are doing at the moment. However, because of the rain, which is predicted to keep falling, we still recommend that drivers follow traffic signs and signals and drive carefully.” mr/
