Helplines available to offer mental health support to people affected by the wildfires

North Macedonia’s Red Cross calls on all citizens in need of mental health support to contact the available telephone counselling helplines.

Skopje, 5 August 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s Red Cross calls on all citizens in need of mental health support to contact the available telephone counselling helplines.

“Anyone who feels threatened or is experiencing emotional distress due to the outbreak of wildfires can receive telephone counselling to effectively deal with the situation that’s threatening well-being and is creating a sense of threatened personal and collective security,” the Red Cross organization posted on Facebook, adding that the counseling support is provided by trained volunteers.

The helplines are available by regions, including:

Pelagonia Region Helpline – (Bitola, Demir Hisar, Krushevo, Prilep, Resen)
