Besimi: We need to carefully craft fiscal policy amid economic crisis
The EU’s recommendations from the May 24 economic and financial dialogue with North Macedonia after the country submitted its 2022-24 Economic Reform Program to the European Commission include providing support from the national budget to mitigate the consequences of economic crisis; monitoring price hikes and maintaining medium-term price stability; and improving the business climate by continuing the digitization of public services and fighting the shadow economy, according to Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi at a news conference Thursday held together with EU Ambassador David Geer.
