Skopje, 23 November 2021 (MIA) – The bus that caught fire in Bulgaria early on Tuesday, in which at least 46 people were killed, is registered to “Besa Trans”, a company that organizes travel and shopping tours in Istanbul.
According to preliminary information, the bus carried mainly young people coming back from an excursion in Turkey.
PM Zaev, who left for Sofia overnight together with Health Minister Venko Filipche and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, has said 12 of the victims are children while the others are young people aged 20-30.
“I am in contact with Prime Minister Stefan Yanev who has already visited the people. I talked to one of the survivors, who explained they were sleeping in the bus when a loud explosion was heard. They managed to break one of the windows and save a few people. Unfortunately, the others didn’t make it. This is a horrific tragedy since 12 of the victims are children while the others are young people aged 20-30. Most of them are Macedonian nationals but there are people from Serbia too,” PM Zaev told MIA.
